Compaction test is one of the important laboratory tests to determine the soil characteristic properties , as well as standard penetration test is the standard field test for identifying many properties of the soil of which are confined compressive strength and bearing capacity of the foundations .In this study, a manufactured mechanical device is used to make a simplified simulation of a standard compaction Proctor test through a mechanism to facilitate an equivalent energy in a simpler way. A number of laboratory tests are implemented on different soils and a comparison between the results of examination of the new compaction device was made. The results of the standard compaction Proctor test and the results of the new apparatus are very encouraging.
