Information Hiding Using Geographic Information System (GIS) Vector File

There are different techniques for securing data like cryptography and information hiding (steganography and watermarking) which has received more attention and faced many challenges. In this paper, an efficient digital steganography method has been proposed, where the Geographic Information System (GIS) files used as a cover media. This method depends on hiding text file in a map vector coordinate using ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) Shape file, which stores the geometry of the digital features as sets of vector, coordinates. The method is based on changing the value of unspecific order bits depending on an Input location. Since we are interested in maximizing capacity and ensure robustness requirements. Exploiting the advantage of double percentage number capacity in the 2Dimension vector file was one of the main goals of this research. A Steganography techniques requirement was satisfied since changing maps did not raise any suspicion, while they do not alter the original data content.

Hiding Encrypted Color Image within MPEG-2 Video

In any communication, security is the most important issue in today’s world.
Lots of data security and data hiding algorithms have been developed in the last
decade. Hiding data in digital videos makes possible to hide a great quantity of
information when compared to techniques used in images. This work presents
the encryption process of an image with combination of bit and pixel
permutation technique depending on random key, and then steganography
technique that hiding each bit of encrypted image in selected block 8*8
pixels(selected block process depending on high blue color ratio), of the frame
and can extracted that bit after compressed with mpeg-2. Experimental results
show the success of hidden extracted data from the sequence of frames, and also
indicate the effectiveness of the implementation steganography compressed
video with high security features

Steganograhy in Images by Using Intersecting Planes

Steganography is the art of hiding, and transmitting information using
apparently innocent carrier without expose any suspicion. In this paper the
proposed system is an implementation of image steganography techniques. This
system will be used for embedding a steganography string into an image, which is
true color image by using LSB technique to embedding text. The proposal
technique is depending on the selection of the pixels that uses geometrical
mathematical for intersecting planes. In this method the message cipher are
repeated many time this help us to increased secure message. This method tests by
many images, and give the results without distortion the image steganography.

Using Fractals in Information Hiding

Fractals are generated by simple, recursive calculations. Encryption and
decryption algorithms that take advantage of fractals are developed. This paper presents a new approach for information hiding using iterated function system (IFS) this approach exploits the main feature of fractals (generated by IFS). So that any individual that happens to find the transformed message, will not be able to understand it; without the correct method that will reverse the transformation,
usually through some knowledge of key agreement, with the original encrypted. Also to make the encoding more difficult to introducers we use steganographic methods to hide the attractor image in another colored image 256X256 pixels size.
