The Cytogenetic Effects of Dexamethazone Drug Sperm on Musmusculus

The aim of this study was to detect the cytogenetic effects of Dexamethazone drug by using head sperm abnormalities test on white mice (Musmusculus) fivety five male mice were used in this study, these animals were divided into five groups. The first was the negative control group while the second was treated with MMC as positive control, and the three groups (45 mice) treated with three doses (0.02, 0.04 ,0.08mg/kg.bw) from dexamethasone drug.The result refer that the dexamethasone cause increasing in many kind of head sperm abnormality (p<0.01).Which indicate the high side effect of this drug on germ cells so we can conclude that this drug may permanently sterilize in the mice.

Test of Soybean Extract to Eliminat the Harmfull Effects of MMC using Head Sperm Abnormalities Test in Albino Mice (Mus musculus)

The aim of this study was to investigate the ability of methanolic extract of soybean to eliminat the harmfull effects of mitomycin C. By using sperm abnormalities test of male mice (Mus musculus).Seventyfive mice were used and divided into five groups by 15 mice for each group and each group was divided in turn into five groups: group 1 used as negative control , group 2 as positive control, were treated with mitomycin C (MMC) at 2mg/kg b.wt. intraperitonealy (i.p.) , while tested the remaining three groups with alcohol extract in concentrations ranged (2, 4, 8) mgheadday within periods (1, 3, 5) week. The results don’t show presence of abnormal change in the form of the heads of sperm in the stages of spermatids ,spermatocytes and spermatogonia in sperm cells and. So we cann’t conclude that doses of soybean extract may permanently sterilize mice, and so cann’t ability to recovering the effects of MMC.

Dill Effected on lipid profile of mice

The present study was carried out to determine the effect of methanol extract of Anethumgraveolens(Dill) on serum lipoproteins in hypercholesterolaemic mice.A total of 24 male mice (average 25gm body weight) were used in this study. Mice were divided into four groups was injected with 100mg/kg ofalloxan to induce hyperglycemic in mice, the first group (1) was used as control (+ve) group (6 mice) which fed on basal diet only and the other three groups fed on basal diet containing 0.5, 1 and 2mg/ml of methanol extract (single daily dose of 1 ml). The experimental feeding period was 21 days.The changes in serum triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) were measured by using enzymatic kits.However, the HDL-Cconcentrate decreased relative to control mice. Treatment of hyperlipidaemic mice with dill extract in concentration 1 and 2mg/ml up to 21 days reversed the serum lipid levels compared to mice which were fed basal diet only.

Induction of Sperm Head Abnormalities in Male Mice by Using Dill Extracts

The objective of the present study is to detect the genetic effects of methanolic extract of Dill plant in morphological phenotypic big sperm abnormalities of male mice (Mus musculus).Sixty mice were used and divided into three groups by 20 mice for each group and each group was divided in turn into four groups: the first control group, while tested the remaining three groups with alcohol extract in concentrations ranged (0.5, 1, 2) mg/ml within periods (1, 3, 5) week. The results showed the presence of abnormal change in the form of the heads of sperm in the stages of spermatids ,spermatocytes and spermatogonia where it was observed the presence of significant differences (P≤ 0.05) in sperm cells and spermatocytes of the sperm when compared with control while the difference was highly significant (P≤ 0.01) in spermatogonia and for the three doses in a period of 5 weeks. So we can conclude that doses of dill extract may permanently sterilize mice.
