Intersection Analysis by aaSIDRA Software for Computer Simulation to Optimize the Traffic Flow

Computer simulation is important for the analysis of freeways and urban streets systems. Through simulation, Transportation specialists can study the formation and dissipation of congestion on roadways. The Roundabout (Bandar Baru Bangi) and intersection The National University of Malaysia (UKM) are two major causes that have a significant effect on travel time, delay, level of service, stop and degree of saturation. The aim of this paper is to analysation and rationalization the traffic flow of the intersection and roundabout to provide useful information for engineers to design the roads with the shortest travel time and reducing the congestion in roundabout and intersection.
The data required for the study were mainly collected through video filming technique .Also the calculation and assessment are constructed with the aaSIDRA software.

A New Approach on Decision Making for Multi- Objectives Problems

In many real life problems, one is usually confronted with several objectives, which are in mutual conflict. In this paper, multi-objective decision making is obtained, based on a mathematical model by interpolating multi-objective functions with weights functions coefficients, instead of constant coefficients. Some theories and computational results are presented to point out the efficiency of our model and the implemented approach.

The effect of process variables on the recovery of hardness from water by
acation exchanger was studied. At steady state the process could be represented by
second order nonlinear emperical model. Although this model was less accurate than
the dynamic model,the results show agreement when compared with the experimental
data. The steady state optimization model was used to limit the operating conditions of
the system. The static feed forward control could be used with the aid of on – line
digital computer.

Tendency Modelling Of Desublimator For Optimization And Control

The study was devoted to test the effect of the process variables on the desublimator
(cold trap) efficiency under vacuum technique. Since several intermediate process
parameters could not be measured or inspected, then it was necessary to predict them by
the gray model. Although the novel approach (tendency model) for the desublimator was
less accurate than the detailed one, but it showed agreement results when compared with
the experimental data. The accuracy of model could be increased by increasing the
process variable monitors. The tendency model was more effective to deal with the lack
of knowledge about the process when implemented with the optimal control system.
