Abstract
This paper deals with thin beams resting on non-linear Winkler foundations by using the secant modulus approach to specify the modulus of subgrade reaction. The finite differences method is used to solve the obtained governing differentional equation. Results of plate loading test of soil obtained in Baghdad are used in the present analysis. The results are compared with those of the elastic Winkler foundations analysis
