Abstract

Abstract The motion of isolated Crystal ( LC ) in two specimens of pure monocrystalline aluminium by D.C was steadied . In the first specimen the temperature was 500C and the Current density was up to 4200 Amp / Cm and the annealing time was 48h . The displacement of upper segment of LC ( Where grain boundary ( g.b ) was perpendicular to electric flow ) was 15 um towards the anode and out of the radius of Curvature , the lower Segment of I.C ( Where g.b was perpendicular to electric flow also ) was 30um towards the anode and towards the radius of curvature . On the other hand thereis no displacement on the segments of right and left of I.C ( where g.b was parallel to electric flow ) . It could be explained that the displacements of 15 um was caused by electron wind force only , while the electron wind force and the thermal force caused the displacement of 30um . In the second specimen was studied by tube furnace at the same temperature and annealing time it was found that all the segments of I.C were displaced towards the center of curvature .
