AbstractAs a result of the negative effects unshaped on some of the components in power systems such as the transformers, a great concern was shown to treatment this phenomenon so we rise in this search by designing a suitable active filter with two strategies for harmonic repression. To analysis and treatment this case, using a singlephase transformer with full-bridge rectifier, and a resistant load to generate some of
total harmonic current and voltage distortions (THDi and THDv). Finally, simulation results with psim software show that the designed active filter with two strategies is very effective in harmonic elimination and power factor correction of the single phase transformer.
