Aims & Scope

Aims

Engineering and Technology Journal (ETJ) is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary open-access journal published by the University of Technology–Iraq and serving an international academic and professional audience. The journal aims to advance knowledge and practice in engineering, technology, and applied sciences by publishing rigorous original research articles and high-quality review articles of relevance to academic, industrial, and professional communities.

ETJ provides a forum for researchers, engineers, technologists, and practitioners from Iraq and other countries to communicate significant findings, promote interdisciplinary knowledge exchange, support technological innovation, and address contemporary engineering, industrial, environmental, infrastructure, energy, and sustainability challenges.

Target Readership

The journal’s readership comprises researchers, academics, engineers, technologists, postgraduate students, and professionals working in industry and the public sector across engineering, technology, and applied sciences in Iraq and internationally.

Scope

ETJ publishes original research articles and review articles across a broad range of engineering, technology, and applied-science disciplines. The journal particularly welcomes interdisciplinary research that connects scientific advances with engineering design, technological development, industrial application, or solutions to practical, environmental, and societal challenges.

The journal covers the subject areas listed below. Contributions in chemistry, biology, mathematics, physics, optics/photonics, and computer science are within scope when they demonstrate clear relevance to engineering, technology, computation, materials, energy, environmental or biomedical applications, industrial processes, or another applied area consistent with the journal’s mission.
