Absorption of carbon dioxide in a bubble column by 0.5M Sodium Hydroxide aqueous solution with and without various organic compound concentrations of glucose, fructose and saccharose”0.05 , 0.2 , 0.4M” and various superficial gas velocities “0.008 , 0.012 , 0.016 m/s” were studied in the present work. The experiments were conducted under conditions in which the reaction of carbon dioxide was of Pseudo-first order. The results show that the absorption rate enhances with organic solute additive and increasing solute concentration.
