Abstract

Abstract The effect of cavity temperature on the overall sound pressure level and flow velocity for constant depth and diameters had been Three value cavity diameters ( 11.8,10.3,8.8 mm ) and flow velocity range of ( 125.1 - 60.41 m / s ) for depth values of ( 0-53 mm ) where implemented . The experimental results showed that the cavity temperature had ar oscillatory effect on the sound pressure level such that the effect was poor at a depth of 15 mm , then increasing at a depth of 10 mm while this effect was decreasing at 14 mm then increasing until a depth value of 28 mm The study also showed that the overall sound pressure level was dependent on flow velocity and cavity depth .The overall sound pressure level was increasing as the flow velocity and cavity depth increased . Experimental results showed a reasonable a germinate with the theoretical result which was adopted by the researcher Lighthill .
