Abstract

Abstract The waste of malt fermentation stage in alcohol manufacturing was used in production of single cell protein ( SCP ) under a new name ( AL - Ataa ) and introduced as concentrated protein in the formula of chickens and fishes feeding . Suitable modification werer introduced on the standard method for waste treatment to account the real technical abilities founded . Cooled centrifugation stages was substituted by heat treatment and nine treatment stages were reduced to three . Results of this modification showed an increase in protein percentage and its amino acid components as compared with standard treatment . The laboratory parameters of modificationwere imploid at a poineer level with the capacity that includes all disposal quantities from alcohol factories in Baghdad city . It concluded that by using the modified poineer method it is possible to produce a high quality SCP for animal feeding purposes instead of imported protein .
