Abstract

Abstract In this investigation , a mathematical treatment , as well as numerical results , for the nonlinear equations describing the propagation of short laser pulses during the second harmonic generation was presented . This investigation aims to introduce the effects of spatial and temporal changes in such process that may cause the laser pulse to be narrowed as it propagates through the nonlinear crystal . This study cun stimulate a wider experimental analysis of the second harmonic generation using laser pulses since its applications are increasing recently .
